Botanical Name: Jasminum sambac Plant Part: Flowers Description: Jasmine Sambac is a beautiful plant and its flowers bloom late in the evening unlike Jasmine Grandiflorum, which blooms in the early dawn. Colour: Dark brown yellowish liquid. Common Uses: Jasmine is always in high demand for its exquisitely fragrant properties. It is a sensual blossom whose fragrance profile figures prominently in cuisine and exotic teas, but lends top notes to many of the world’s best perfumes. Because this is diluted in Jojoba Oil, it can be used as a simple or blended with other oils to make a purely natural perfume. Consistency: Medium Note: Middle Strength of Aroma: Strong Blends Well With: Jasmine Absolute generally works with all oils. It helps to round out scents, and tends to work particularly well with other aphrodisiac oils (Sandalwood and Ylang Ylang are two great examples). Aromatic Scent: Jasmine Sambac Absolute is an incredibly intense aroma that is very floral, yet more musky and masculine than the Jasmine Grandiflorum. History: Since ancient times, Jasmine has been referred to as the King of oils (Rose is the Queen). It is also interesting to note that it takes 8,000 carefully hand-picked blossoms to produce 1 gram (about 1 ml.) of Jasmine Absolute.
